Nestled in the luxurious Morrison House (ranked by Travel + Leisure as one of the best hotels in the world), The Grille has long been a favorite residents and visitors to Alexandria's charming Old Town neighborhood. Led by Chef Dennis Marron (pdf), The Grille offers two distinct menus, inspired by the season and the freshest of local ingredients.

In the cozy Piano Bar, among cushy club chairs, warm woods and period chandeliers, enjoy Chef's Grille Menu, featuring classic bistro dishes such as steamed PEI mussels, Oyster Rockefeller and steak frites. Cozy up to the fireplace or join other guests at the intimate bar for live music, Thursday through Sunday, starting at 8 p.m. (see below for the full schedule).

For a unique fine dining experience, our newly refurbished dining room, enriched with rich fabrics and elegant furnishings, is the ideal setting for Chef's Tasting Menu. Available a la carte or with a 3 to 6 course pre-fixe menu, Chef Marron's forward-thinking culinary artistry is matched by a thoughtful wine list and exquisite service, making every meal at the Morrison House a special occasion.

Alexandria Private Dining

Created by Executive Chef Dennis Marron, private dining menus at The Grille feature French American fare using the freshest of ingredients, sourced from nearby Virginia farms, markets and artisans.

The historic Alexandria location and charming décor of the Morrison House are the perfect backdrop for any occasion, from intimate dinner parties to once in a life time celebrations. The Grille's thoughtful service and amenities, striking entrance courtyard, and beautiful dining and reception rooms make this a unique venue for any event.

From bridal and baby showers to rehearsal dinners, intimate weddings to corporate retreats, the incomparable catering and service from the award-winning Grille make every event exceptional.

The Grille can host between 35 and 40 guests for a reception and 26 for a sit-down event. The charming Parlor and Library host intimate ceremonies or cocktail receptions for up to 50 guests with exclusive private dining for 10-74 in our elegant Salon, Louis XVI and Dining Rooms.
